Does my audio ever leave my Mac?

No audio is uploaded for transcription or cleanup. Those run on device using Apple speech and Foundation Models where available. Thalix Voice does make a brief authenticated online check to confirm account and subscription access.

Do I need an account?

Yes. Your account connects the subscription and authorized Mac. Thalix Voice checks access online before voice authorization, while transcription audio and cleanup stay on your Mac.

Which languages are supported?

Transcription supports many languages. Cleanup is currently optimized for English, so non-English dictation is transcribed well but polished less aggressively.

How do voice commands work?

Commands use the wake word “Thalix”. Every command surfaces a visible confirmation and waits for a human to approve it before anything is executed.

Can it reply to a coding agent for me?

It can return your spoken reply as text to agents such as Claude Code. The text is inserted only — Thalix Voice does not execute it or submit it on your behalf.

Can I keep earlier dictations?

Yes. History is searchable locally and works with a clipboard workflow, so you can pull an earlier passage back where you need it.

Which platforms are supported?

Available for macOS today. Windows is planned. We aren't announcing a date or promising feature parity, and we have no plans to share for other platforms.

Q: What exactly does cleanup change?

It handles punctuation, capitalization, filler words, false starts, self-corrections, and spoken URLs and email addresses. It does not invent content or add sentences you didn't say.

Voice replies let you answer a prompt from a coding agent such as Claude Code out loud. Your words are returned as text, safely — the reply is never executed on your behalf.
