Thalix Voice CLI
Purpose, platform support, Mac app relationship, and current distribution status.
The Thalix Voice CLI is a separate Node.js command-line client for Thalix Voice account, session, license, and billing-portal operations on macOS. It complements the Mac app but is not the dictation interface or transcription engine, and it does not communicate with the Mac app directly.
Current implementation
The development implementation is complete in the private CLI repository and pins the production Thalix Voice service origin, contract 1.0.1, and the online-mvp-1 entitlement profile. Its command surface and fail-closed security behavior are implemented and tested in the merged source revision shown below.
The CLI is not publicly installable. Source-development status is not release availability; see CLI security and development status for the exact distribution limits.
Supported platform and runtime
- Platform: macOS 13 or newer only.
- The authorized development broker is built as a universal arm64 and x86_64 macOS binary; this is development-source support, not a released broker.
- Node.js: 22.18.0 or newer in the 22.x line, or 24.18.1 or newer in the 24.x line.
- Service origin: https://voice.thalixinc.ai.
- Entitlement mode: online-only and fail-closed.
Not included
- Pairing with the Mac app or sharing an activation allocation.
- Device-management commands.
- Offline licensing or offline grace.
- Windows or Linux support.
